The NDC has led a coalition opposition political parties to demonstrate through the streets of Kumasi to mount pressure on the EC to rescind its decision to compile a new voters’ register.
The spirited parties say there is no need for a new voters’ register, arguing that the electoral governing body is engaged in frivolous spending.
The Commission, however, insists the current register is not fit for purpose and its incoming register is enhanced with better security features.
The two hard working members of the national Democratic Congress notable, Prince Murtala Mohammed a.k.a Akuter and Alhaji Mayanga Adams were instrumental in organizing the general Public to exercise their democratic rights in the garden city,Kumasi.
Speaking in an interview, Mr. Murtala was optimistic for the party victory, come 2020 December by saying ‘the electoral commission should rethink. And listen to the millions of Ghanaians. But no matter what, the 2020 general election is our victory ‘’
On his part ,Alhaji Mayanga Adams, used the event to thank the regional executives, chairman Nana Akwasi and Kwame Zu for their outstanding contribution to what he described as ‘ a successfully step for the 2020 victory’
He continued by expressing his appreciation to Shafiu Sanfo,Aba Rahman,Garba Patisco,Mubarick Masoud, Samed Suarez and Hajia Ajara, for her motherly support of the party paraphernalia for the event .
